- 500 gr flour 00
- 250 ml lukewarm water
- 50 gr Lard
- 100 gr Caster sugar
- 25 gr fresh yeast or 7gr instant dry
- I pinch of salt
In a bowl mix the flour, sugar, salt and lard at room temperature.
Incorporate the yeast in a little of lukewarm water and mix by pouring the remaining water until the dough is smooth and homogeneous. Place the dough in a clean bowl lightly greased with oil and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise for about an hour or until it has doubled in volume.
After this time, remove the pieces weighing about 80 grams from the dough, giving them the shape of a doughnut.
Then leave the doughnuts to rise for another 90 minutes. When ready fry the doughnuts In sunflower oil for 2 minutes then turn over and fry for another 2 minutes on the other side until browns.
Remove and drain on kitchen paper and roll the hot doughnuts in granulated sugar and serve warm! ENJOY!
