I tried many recipes and finally i found the best mince pies pastry’s recipe ever!


  • Flour 00 250gr
  • Icing sugar 100gr
  • Diced unsalted butter 140gr
  • 2 egg yolks
  • I pinch of salt
  • I lemon zest



Sift together the flour and sugar into a mound, add the egg yolks, butter and the salt. Combine into a ball, then wrap the pastry in cling film and put in the fridge for 1 hour. Preheat the oven 180c. Grease tart tins with butter and flour. Using a round cutter cut 12 bases. Put 1 tablespoon of mincemeat mixture (or a beautiful jam) into each. Using the same pastry cut some little stars and place on the top. Bake the mince pies for 15/20 minutes or until golden. Leave few minutes, dust with icing sugar and serve.
